Golden Gate Overview

The configuration of GoldenGate replication depends on the architecture which is required:

• Unidirectional
• Bidirectional
• One to Many
• Round

Therefore the configuration is different. Let's start with Unidirectional replication as follows:

• Source: sourceSVR ← Source
• Destination: destinSVR ← Target

P.S. When it comes to conventions, Oracle is a mess :) Since Target in RMAN means the opposite of what it means here.

Based on that let's see our settings:

1. Configure the Source
2. Create a base
3. Restore the Base
4. Configure the Destination
