Golden Configuration Overview

Golden Gate is a separate software of Oracle which enables the configuration of replication between oracle database, but also between Oracle and other databases in heterogenous environment.

The configuration of GoldenGate replication depends on the architecture which is required:

• Unidirectional
• Bidirectional
• One to Many
• Round

In a nutshell, the configuration follows the following steps:

1. Prepare the Env (Installation and Setup of the binaries) - Done in the Installation Section
2. Configure the Extract (So we will have the changes, which happened, during the initial load)
3. Perform the Initial load

1. Configure Extract
2. Create a base
3. Restore the Base
4. Configure the Destination
5. Clean the environment
